It’s been a while since I’ve done a prayer post, and in these darkening days, we could all really use one. To my readers: if this resonates with you, pray this with me. It says in scripture that if two or more are gathered in prayer then it will be done by our Heavenly Father, and the Lord will be among us. Pray with me and let your heart cry out to Him.

Heavenly Father,

So hallowed is Your holy name and righteous is Your will. I look forward to seeing Your will be done in this world that is suffering from the sin that threatens to swallow the souls of many. I praise You, Lord, for the sacrifices and joy that You have given for Your people. You deserve to be highly exalted in the heavens and on earth and in my own heart I lift You on high! Father, please gird and equip me with the armor of Your Spirit to protect me from the attacks and temptations of the enemy. Please strengthen me and lead me from sin and into Your righteous tranquility.

I ask, God Almighty, for Your hedge of protection over Your people, Your church. Please call on them to bring hope and light into the world rather than making the mistakes of our ancestors. Give us a heart for the lost— Compassion and empathy for those who don’t know Your. Let Your Holy Spirit guide us into teaching them of Your righteousness and Your sacrifices, giving us opportunities in Your perfect timing to do so. Please help us all to trust You faithfully and to call upon Your name when things become difficult. Please help us to draw near to You every moment.

Father, I also ask for Your protection over Your chosen nation, Israel. Please bring the families and the innocent children away from the turmoil that has plagues them: show them Your everlasting sense of peace. Lord, I pray that the enemies in the surrounding nations may see the error of their ways and that they’ll turn to You in Jesus’ name with repentant hearts. May it be so for the warring nations all over the world — that the murderers, pillagers, and ravagers may call on Your name and ask for Your forgiveness.

For all those who suffer from illness, please bring healing and hope into their hearts. In Jesus Christ’s name, please let them be healed and know that it was You, or let them find encouragement rather than growing bitter. For those who have no home to reside, please offer comfort and provision. Help all those who don’t have a bed to sleep, food in their bellies, or a place to belong. Jehovah Jireh, please provide for all Your people’s needs.

I love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, may You be exalted in all Your glory!

Amen.
